Rob P. Brown, CPCU
Rob P. Brown President of Atlas Mortgage and Insurance Co. Inc., dba Atlas Insurance, joined the agency in 1954, six months after his father Lee Brown started the agency. Rob attended Princeton University, Paris Island and Union college; he received his designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) in 1964.

Rob W. Brown, CIC
Rob W. Brown, a third generation insurance agent has been active in the insurance industry for over 20 years and a partner since 1988. He holds licenses in Property / Casualty and in Life and Health and recently celebrated his 20th anniversary of achieving his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. Rob is the current managing partner and was most recently named 2008 best boss of the year by Biz 941. He is a Sarasota native and graduate of the University of Florida. Rob has served on a number of not for profit organization boards and is a past President of the Sarasota Association of Independent Agents (SAIA). He is active in the community and currently serves as an outside director for a community bank. Rob is an avid outdoorsman and he and his family resides in Sarasota.

Darren Howard, CPCU
Darren Howard has been active in the insurance industry for the past 21 years and a partner at Atlas Insurance since 1994. He is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Risk Management and Insurance and has his Certified Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Darren is a past president of the Sarasota Association of Independent Insurance Agents (SAIIA) and has served on the Board of Directors for the Sarasota Little League. He remains active in the community as a business partner with both Cardinal Mooney and Sarasota Middle School.

Tommy W. Kochis, CIC
Tommy Kochis has been a shareholder and Vice President of Sales for Atlas Insurance since 2006. Tommy joined Atlas in 1996 as a commercial lines executive after graduating from Florida State University with a B.S. degree in Political Science. He obtained the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) in 2000 and holds licenses in Property/Casualty and Life and Health. His community and professional activities include board member for the Sarasota Association of Independent Agents (SAIA) and board member for the ESJ Branch of the Sarasota Family YMCA. Pierre P. Morrissette, AAI
Pierre Morrissette joined Atlas Insurance in August of 2000. Pierre began his career in insurance in Montreal, Canada in 1979. He worked in claims and underwriting departments prior to becoming an independent agent in 1982. Pierre specialized in trucking, commercial and industrial property and was the sales leader for the trucking program from 1986 to 1989. In January 1990, Pierre and his family moved to Sarasota. He continued to expand his expertise in the field of insurance and achieved the designation of Accredited Advisor of Insurance. Pierre's areas of specialty include commercial/industrial property, construction and the growing field of energy related businesses. Pierre is fluent in French and English. Pierre is active in several organizations in the Sarasota community. He participates in the Commercial Investment Division (CID) of the Sarasota Association of Realtors, the Manasota Air conditioning Contractors Association (MACCA). In his spare time, Pierre enjoys hockey, golf and kayaking with his family.

David W. McMahon, MBA
David W. McMahon joined Atlas Insurance as a commercial lines executive in 2003. He is a graduate of Valparaiso University earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1988 and his Masters of Business (MBA) in 1995. David is an active member of The West Florida Chapter of Community Association Institute (CAI), Commercial Investment Division (CID) of the Sarasota Association of Realtors, among others. David and his wife, Kimberly, are actively involved in the community as business partners to local schools, coaches and/or mentors while raising their four children.

Larry B. Bowman
Larry Bowman has been in the insurance industry since 2002 and joined Atlas Insurance in 2007. He is a graduate of the Hartford School of Insurance and is currently pursuing his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation. His insurance focus is in Manufacturing, Distributing, and Hospitality. He is an active member of SAMA (Sarasota Area Manufacturers Association) and The Sarasota-Manatee Originals. Larry's community involvement is extensive. He has two Little Brothers through Big Brothers Big Sisters, served two years on the board of directors, and was named Big Spokesperson of the Year. He is a Past President of the Downtown Sarasota Kiwanis Club and currently sits on the board of directors for FAADA (Families Against Addictive Drug Abuse). When Larry is not volunteering he enjoys boxing, basketball and watching college sports.

Christopher N. O'Brien
Chris O’Brien has been active in the insurance industry for the past 20 years and holds licenses in Property / Casualty as well as Life and Health. He attended Canisius College in Buffalo, NY and graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree. Chris began his professional career in Bradenton with the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball team in 1983. He is twice past president of the Manatee County Independent Insurance Agents Association (MCIIAA), has served on the Manatee West Little League Board of Directors, sat on Agency Advisory Board for a major insurance carrier and received several awards for his work within the insurance industry. Chris enjoys spending time with his three children, and is an avid golfer and tour bicyclist.

Sylvia A. Mitchell "SAM"
Sylvia Mitchell joined the Atlas Personal Lines staff in 2007, specifically assigned to Sales and Marketing for Atlas Private Client Group. She has 27 years of experience providing consultative risk management solutions for individuals and families. Sylvia is originally from Ohio and has lived on the West Coast of Florida for a total of 36 years. She currently holds a 220 General Lines license and a 218 Life License. She remains active as a Candidate for CPCU is also active with both the Sarasota - Manatee Board of Realtors and the Women's Council of Realtors.
